The mask movie I am not talking about the insignificant 60 billion the House Republicans have drawn up. I am talking about balancing the damn budget or at least getting very close. We really need to cut at least a trillion dollars even to claim that we are doing anything. Included in discretionary spending would be the pentagon budget, the budget for our intelligence apparatus, the state the mask movie budget, the Jobs stimulus, and so forth. Everything on the table. Because the MIC constitutes such a big proportion of the budget, this would actually rescue programs like Planned Parenthood and others from more draconian cuts. It would not include entitlements or the wars, but see below. Third, we ask for new taxes on the very rich. Finally, we suggest a draw down of our wars. They cost too much in money but more importantly in the blood of innocents. Notice that I emphasize the second part, which amounts to accross the board cuts. Even a trillion dollar cut would leave us half a trillion in the hole, but we really do need to stop spending our grandchildrens money, and this would be a start. Does anyone know why the US Uncut protests are on a Saturday? BoA: a great target but which branches can be closed on a Saturday? Working people are working during the week. What do you mean by great target? Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Doesnt it seem frustrating that so many people have skipped out on their history classes when young and in school? This country has been all through this before but it sure looks like we are going to experience it again only this time WE are the ones living through it. Too bad the lessons from the Great Depression seem lost on most people. Á Published on August 23, 20 the Áruling elitesÁ are those at the upper reaches of the rich and the mask movie levels of government. The Ácounter revolutionÁ will be those who comprise the seriously-have-notÁs. This may not yet include the middle class Á they havenÁt experienced full pain or a full realization of what lies in store. kind of chilling isnt it? This whole idea about the middle class is a fantasy, in my view.
